maintenance and overhaul
Enables participants to respond practically and adequately, in situations demanding
practical applications relating to Electrical Machinery and systems. Also includes
reading and interpreting Electrical Circuits.
14. Applied Electronics
Duration :- 5 days
To provide a sound foundation of basic electronics and its application on board the
ship, to familiarize and equip sailing officers to identify equipment and components,
differentiate between normal operations and potential faulty situations and take
prompt adequate and reasonable measures to either eliminate or minimize consequent
losses of time and resources.
15. Hydraulic Cargo
Pumping System
Duration :- 3 days
To give complete theoretical and practical training for FRAMO pumps including
operation & overhaul of the pump and distribution valve. The participants will also
understand basics of hydraulics.
16. Electro-Hydraulic
Carne Operations
Duration :- 4 days
Provides the participants with necessary skills and knowledge to understand operations
of a marine electro-hydraulic crane, to operate a crane safely and efficiently on a
vessel or an offshore facility, to trouble-shoot, overhaul and repair.
17. Instrumentation,
Automation & Control
Duration :- 5 days
To make the participant understand and familiarize with salient principles & practical
aspects of automation and control of Propulsion Machinery, Navigating Equipments,
Auxiliaries including Boiler / Steering / Cargo Gear & Anchoring / Mooring gear etc.
so that, he can operate the machinery both in auto and Manual mode and can effect
emergency repair / maintenance when required at sea or in port.
18. Practical Marine
Electrical Course
Duration :- 5 days
To prepare and familiarize Mariners without specific specialization in Electricity, to
be able to respond practically and adequately, in situations demanding practical
applications relating to Electrical Machinery and systems.
19. Hydraulics For
Engineers
Duration :- 5 days
To enable the effective and proper use of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on board.
The participants will gain understanding of fundamental concepts of hydraulics,
recognize component systems, their construction, functions and application; identify
symbols, trace and analyze circuits and be able to troubleshoot.
